Charred Summer Corn with Olive Oil

Simple grilled corn brushed with olive oil and smoky char—sweet, juicy kernels that make an easy summer side for any cookout.

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the grill

Set an outdoor grill or grill pan to high heat and let it preheat for at least 5 minutes.

Step 2: Oil the corn

Brush each shucked ear of corn with 1 tbsp olive oil divided evenly. Lightly season with a pinch of salt if desired.

Step 3: Grill the corn

Place the corn on the hot grates. Cook for 10–15 minutes, turning every 2–3 minutes, until kernels are tender with a deep char in spots.

Step 4: Finish and serve

Remove from heat. Sprinkle with additional salt or your favorite seasonings to taste and serve hot.
